Yes, it's been a looooong while this time. Yet if you follow me on Instagram, you will see I never really left, I just left this little space. Not by choice.
All I can say is 2024 had been quite a journey. I don't mean to write here and then not write for months on end. Really, I don't.
I will start by saying in the beginning of last year I dedicated a lot of time, in truth all my time to creating my brand-new photography website (yes once again) that will actually be here to stay this time. Then back in April, when I went to write another blog post, this site, essenceofourlives, stopped working. I found it was infected with malware, which froze up my entire blog. I had plans to move platforms anyway, so it was another huge project in the books.
Summer came and life happened and then towards the end of the summer-early fall we took a wonderful trip to Ireland. (Eventually I'll have those pictures up on my photography site too).
We returned home from Ireland in later September. Sadly, I had a sister who battled many health ailments for years and on September 30th, she passed away. Another reason I have stepped away for a while. I felt so many things were coming down on me at once. I miss her so much it hurts. I just miss her like crazy.
Let me just say, it's all been a lot and with life pulling me in so many directions, it took me a very long time to get back to here. I'm sorry for that.
But I'm here now, on a new platform, with a website that I will easily be able to manage and handle and change without the struggles I faced many times in the past.
So yes, I'm back once again and this time to stay. I have many new ideas and plans for this little space of mine and I hope you stay to join me on the journey along the way as well.
